Patons Book 833 - Baby Talk.

It contains patterns for a dress with the skirt stitched in double bands of butterfly stitch, and gathered into a small yoke worked in rows of eyelet stitch. It has the tiniest of set-in sleeves and buttons at the back of the yoke. A ribbon threads through the lower edge of the yoke and ties in a bow at the front; a matinee jacket with a ribbed yoke and raglan sleeves. The lower half of the body and sleeves are knitted in rows of lacy stitch alternating with tiny rows in a contrasting colour. All the edges are knitted in Garter Stitch; a cardigan with raglan sleeves. It is styled with alternating rows of Garter Stitch and eyelet stitch, giving it a lacy look. It's a medium buttoning style with the front band knitted double in plain smooth fabric and the wrist bands and lower edges ribbed; a jumper with panels of knitted Broderie Anglaise down the centre front and back give this jumper a party look. The sleeves are set-in and doubled plain smooth fabric bands edge the hemline, neckline and wrist. There is a three-buttoned opening at the centre back; a matinee jacket worked throughout in a fancy lacy stitch. It has set-in sleeves and a small collar. Garter stitch with picot effect edges the front; high-buttoning cardigan with a band of Broderie Anglaise down each front and two around the lower edge. It is styled with set-in sleeves, has a ribbed front band and neckline and is hemmed at the lower edge and edges of sleeves; and a romper suit made up of short pants, a jumper top and bootees and cap. The body and sleeves of the jumper are knitted in a lacy stitch and gathered into a circular yoke of Garter Stitch. Garter Stitch bands finish the hem and sleeve edges, and also the front opening with its five buttons. The short pants are knitted in a matching stitch with a ribbed top through which a crocheted chain is threaded to draw in the waistline. The cap and bootees are knitted in a matching stitch.
