This is the 1979 Vintage Parker Brothers Toltoys board game Stop Thief, a classic electronic game focused on "cops and robbers".
 
The game prominently features a handheld Electronic Crime Scanner used by players to deduce the thief's location based on sound clues.
 
This specific edition was also distributed by Toltoys in Australia.
 
It has three of the four playing pieces.
 
The scanner turns on, chimes and flashes numbers and letters when a battery is inserted. There is no battery included in the sale as I cant post them. I dont know how functional it is but it certainly works with a battery.

The box has scuff marks, taped repairs and tears.
 
The box measures 50.7cm x 26cm, with a thickness of 6.5cm.
