Vintage lucite tortoiseshell-style heart belt buckle with a twisted rope metallic border.
 
 
This belt buckle measures 6.4cm x 5.2cm. 
 
Solid Brass Backplate: The reverse side is a single, continuous sheet of stamped brass metal. This means the brown heart on the front is a thin decorative layer glued or set directly into a shallow tray on the front.
 
1970s Western/Fashion Buckle: The thick brass loop on the left and the downward-curved prong on the right are specifically designed for a snap-on belt strap. This utility-heavy setup—combined with the patinated, antiqued brass backing—is highly characteristic of the 1970s bohemian and western fashion revival.
 
Condition Notes: The centre shows a square patch of sticky residue from an old price tag or inventory label, alongside minor green oxidation (verdigris) near the solder points of the prong. The metal has some discolouration on the edges.
