Preloved The Twelve Days of Christmas Tin

This image is of a decorative tin featuring illustrations of the gifts from the traditional Christmas carol, "The Twelve Days of Christmas".

  • The carol is a cumulative song listing a series of gifts given by a "true love" on each of the twelve days of Christmas, starting on Christmas Day and ending on January 6th (Epiphany).
  • The gifts are presented in order: a partridge in a pear tree, two turtle doves, three french hens, four calling birds, five golden rings, six geese a-laying, seven swans a-swimming, eight maids a-milking, nine ladies dancing, ten lords a-leaping, eleven pipers piping, and twelve drummers drumming.
  • The images on the tin appear to be based on the illustrations from the Great Britain 1977 Christmas stamps designed by David Gentleman.
  • The tin is a "Traditionally Made Selection", suggesting it likely contained r biscuits.
  •

Measuring 20cm x 20cm, with a height of 6.6cm.

It has a few light scratches, several dints and some general scuffing but still displays wonderfully well.
