Made in New Zealand since 1931, Temuka Pottery is a local institution and graces thousands of Kiwi kitchens.
 
This mug is a piece of vintage Temuka Pottery from New Zealand, featuring the popular Cobblestone glaze pattern. 
 
Identification & Features
Glaze Pattern: The Cobblestone glaze is characterized by a "colour change" transition, typically featuring a darker chocolate brown lower section that blends into a lighter, speckled grey or tan upper half. 
Dating: This style was produced from 1971 through the late 1980s.
Safety: Temuka glazes produced from 1971 onwards do not contain lead or cadmium, making them food-safe.
Construction: These are made of high-quality stoneware fired to 1200°C, which prevents the glaze from crazing under normal conditions. 
 
It measures 9.3cm in height, 5.1cm in base diameter and 6.6cm in top diameter.
 
In amazingly great condition, it has no chips, cracks or crazing and has a brilliantly funky design - sure to be a standout set in any vintage home.
