This container is a genuine plastic Nylex product.
 
It is made in Australia.
 
It stands 20.1cm tall with base measurements of 9.1cm x 12.7cm.
 
It has 66911 on the base. 
 
It is in good vintage condition. It does have two sides that are a lighter blue than the other. I think it is a faded-with-time effect rather than a design feature.
