Features & Origin
Design: It features 12 oblong cavities arranged in a 3x4 grid, specifically shaped to allow sponge batter to expand into perfectly rounded, uniform ladyfinger biscuits or small éclairs.
History: Pans of this exact design were heavily produced in the 1930s and 1940s. They are highly collectible today both for active baking and as rustic, farmhouse-style kitchen decor.
This tin is in good vintage condition with markings and dints.
It measures 36.6cm x 22.7cm. Each finger measures 10.4cm x 3.7cm.
It is silver in colour.
It is in used vintage condition simply because a portion of my sales come from the entertainment sector and they seek products in genuine used condition to serve as props. You are welcome to clean them to your level of liking upon receiving them but, for my purposes, they are best left in an "as used" condition for sales appeal.
