This is a vintage mid-century modern (MCM) ceramic ovenware dish, commonly identified as an asparagus tray.

The dish features a beige glaze and is designed for baking, roasting, or serving.

It often includes twelve individual compartments or grooves, which can also be used for resting meat.
 
It is made in Japan. 
 
It measures 24.3cm x 17.8cm, with a height of 4.6cm.
 
It does not have any chips or cracks. 
 
Note - it does not actually say anywhere on it that it is overproof. If you do use it in the oven please watch the temperature and any signs of degradation before damage occurs. Do not transfer it from the fridge into the oven or vice versa as the dramatic temperature change will crack it.
