Produced between 1981 and 1982, this two-piece candle holder features an embossed basketweave textured pattern with a smooth medallion frame showcasing a delicate, hand-painted floral arrangement. It is made from Fenton's famous "Cameo Satin" glass, a soft, creamy custard-colored milk glass with a smooth matte finish.
This signature confirms that your piece was hand-painted by the veteran Fenton factory decorator K. Boley (Karen Boley).
About the Artist and Sticker
Karen Boley: She was a long-time, highly productive professional decorator at the Fenton factory in Williamstown, West Virginia. Her signature is frequently found on classic Fenton themes from the late 1970s and 1980s, including "Violets in the Snow" and various custard/cameo satin glass selections.
The Factory Sticker: The black-and-white paintbrush logo sticker reading "Hand Painted by Fenton" is the authentic factory label used during the late 20th century. Having this original sticker intact and pristine adds great display appeal, as these are often peeled off or washed away over decades of handling.
